Lunar Eclipse, Community Self-Care: Intuitive Public Yogas
July 16, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 11:30 pm EDT
All day July 16th, participate in community-wide self-care with @IntuitivePublicYogas by messaging email@example.com or t.me/maxmorris to join the active group (which may be occurring in a private chat). Get together with us and do your own self-care while we do ours. Ask for support, offer support, and feel nourished in the company of others.
Today’s lunar eclipse meditation happens 4pm – 7pm ET (July 16). We will be joining from the traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and many others will be meditating internationally. Original invitation here.
(You can also find the separate calendar event we created here.)
If you’d like to make content for @IntuitivePublicYogas today: Record short pieces of your best healing practices — a few minutes of zero-point consciousness meditation, a few minutes of describing a natural scene, a few minutes of yoga stretches, a video clip of dance, qi gong, or tai chi. The audio you make may be entirely silent — this is helpful to others, and publishable. Consider sharing it with us. You are also welcome to share other kinds of media, creations, and tell us about your experiences.
What helps heal you? Please stop by and share it with us.

Intuitive Public Yogas are yogas we each make up for ourselves — intuitively — to practice in public.
We do this for great reasons. @IntuitivePublicYogas:
- …gives us a public space to play in and feel safe in, where we can learn more together & support one another.
- …releases us from the problematic grasp of experts whose advice has not been right for our bodies. Sometimes, their languages aren’t the ones we need — so we remind ourselves of our inherent connection to our body’s expertise.
- …takes away the fear of listening to your body the “wrong” way (which keeps people from learning to listen to their bodies better). There is no wrong way to listen to your body.
- …reveals emergent community superpowers. Listening to ourselves in community & supporting one another in doing so — yes. Really. (Try it.)
We are practicing today!
